Museum Madness: Pumpkin Walk and Fall Festival

Get ready for the annual Pumpkin Walk held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, on the grounds of the historic John Jay French Museum from 6 pm – 9 pm!

Use your creativity to decorate or carve a pumpkin and enter it into our contest. (Entry form at the bottom of this page). The fan-favorite pumpkin in several categories will be selected by ballot and prizes will be awarded, so gather your friends and family to come vote on your favorites! Prizes include, but are not limited to: Colorado Canyon passes, Elite Wellness Spa Day Gift Card, a Santa Cruz skateboard, and more! Float through a haunted tour of the 1845 French home featuring departed French family members, a haunted hayride of the grounds, and a Halloween craft for the kids (while supplies last). Walk through a vendor fair to check out local booths with Halloween goodies, and stop at get your face painted by Darkwave Tattoo!

Admission is $5 at the gate for all non-members ages 4 and up, with kids 3 and under attending free. Beaumont Heritage Society members attend free, check your membership card for details. Beaumont Heritage Society is also participating in Museums for All, which allows free entry of groups up to 4 people with the presentation of a valid SNAP/EBT Card and a valid ID.

This event is part of the greater Beaumont area’s annual “Museum Madness Weekend.”  The Art Museum of Southeast Texas, Beaumont Children’s Museum, John Jay French Museum, Edison Museum, Dishman Art Museum, Fire Museum of Texas, McFaddin-Ward House Museum, Museum of the Gulf Coast, Spindletop-Gladys City Boomtown Museum, and Texas Energy Museum are each hosting events for a fun-filled weekend in Jefferson County.

Pumpkins must be dropped off at the Beaumont Heritage Society Heritage Hall Event Space (2985 French Road, Beaumont, TX, 77706) on:

Thursday, October 16th from 9-4 p.m.

Friday, October 17th from 9-4 p.m. or

Saturday, October 18th from 10-12 p.m.

All entries must be on site by Saturday, October 18th by 12 p.m.
