The 3rd Annual Moonlight Masquerade Ball was a huge success, in spite of the weather! The Golden Age of Hollywood came alive for a lovely evening on the Chambers House grounds. Guests dined on delicious food, sampled period cocktails (the Gin Fizz was a favorite!), and enjoyed the beautiful music of the Night and Day Orchestra. Tons of fun was had learning period dances led by Rebecca Woodland including the Grizzly Bear and the Frankenstein! Even “Ginger Rogers” and “Fred Astaire” were in attendance! The first floor of the Chambers home was open for tours during the Masquerade Cocktail Hour. Thank you all who were able to attend!
The Easter Bunny hopped on over to the John Jay French Museum on Saturday, April 3rd, to the delight of area children! Comfortably seated in a rocker on the porch of the historic home, children visited the bunny before taking part in an Easter egg hunt on the vast, beautiful grounds. The kids also decorated pots in Heritage Hall and were given soil and rye grass seeds to plant when they got home. Plan on bringing your kids or grandkids next year!
