SUMMARY:Downtown Walking Tours
DESCRIPTION:Join us at 5:00 p.m. for Styles\, Scamps\, and Scandals – a guided walking tour through the heart of historic Downtown Beaumont. This one-of-a-kind experience blends architectural insight and colorful local history into an unforgettable evening stroll. \nOur tour begins promptly at 5 p.m. at a designated downtown meeting spot (provided upon registration)\, where guests will be welcomed by our knowledgeable and entertaining guide\, Katherine Leister. From there\, we’ll wind through Beaumont’s storied streets\, stopping at notable buildings and landmarks to uncover the area’s unique architectural styles—from ornate early 20th-century facades to hidden design details that often go unnoticed. \nAlong the way\, you’ll hear captivating tales of mischief and mayhem involving some of Beaumont’s most notorious figures—charming rogues\, small-town scandals\, and strange connections that once made local headlines. You’ll hear stories featuring locations at Crockett St\, the Tyrrell Historical Library\, Julie Rogers Theatre\, Jefferson Theatre\, the Jefferson County Courthouse\, San Jacinto Building\, and First National Bank Building- among others! \nThe tour lasts approximately 50 minutes and covers about ¾ of a mile\, so comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended. Whether you’re a history buff\, architecture fan\, or true-crime junkie\, this tour offers a little something for everyone. \nCome see downtown Beaumont like never before—through stories that are stylish\, scandalous\, and spooky!
