Join us at the vintage inspired Chambers House Museum Lawn Party, sponsored by the Chambers Foundation, to celebrate the museum’s 10th year anniversary!
Bring the family or a group of friends to our beautiful grounds for old-fashioned games including croquet, badminton, and lawn bowling! The Traveling Murphys- a Houston based family band will be here playing what they call Texas roots music – a mix of Celtic, jug, bluegrass, old time country and folk music, and we will have refreshments typical of the time period. Make sure to take the opportunity to tour the ground floor of the historic house!
Casual 1920s—40s attire encouraged (adds to the fun with our photo booth!), but not required. FREE to attend!
The Chambers Museum is supported by the C. Homer and Edith Fuller Chambers Foundation, established by their only children, Ruth and Florence, in loving memory of their parents. In addition to the museum, this foundation, established on Jan. 28, 2005, has also provided support to other organizations dear to the Chambers sisters including the Tyrrell Historical Library, the Art Museum of Southeast Texas, the local chapter of the American Red Cross, and the First United Methodist Church.
